Food & Drink
Queen Bee Coffee Co.
100% Arabica Coffee
Description of the product
We are a small batch specialty coffee roaster and cafe. We are one of 3 independent coffee roasters within 100 mile radius south of Atlanta. We source directly from farmers, roast in-house and serve the coffee to our community. We also provide wholesale service to local businesses.
Description of the product target audience
We live in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia but function as a town, not a city. Our customer base ranges from millennials who are drawn to something really hip and older, more traditional southern conservatives. Our county is one of the fastest growing in the nation. Our average consumer is 25-55. Most are upper middle class in a professional career.
We are looking for a design for our coffee bags that reflect our simple yet forward thinking business approach. Our product is of high quality and craftsmanship. The package should reveal that from first glance. These will sit on the barnwood shelves in our 100 year old house turned cafe'. Our bee is a recognized brand in our community and needs to be a prominent feature of the design but artistic liberty can be taken to use part of all of the logo. As a business, we pride ourselves on our consistent unpredictability and surprise tactics used to launch new ideas, products, and growth opportunities. We hope this packaging would do the same. We want them to portray the solidity of our company but not appear old fashioned. These bags will be kraft colored stand-up zipper pouches. They will be hot stamped with a single color design on the front and another single colored design on the back. At the point of bagging, we will need to identify the specific contents, roast date, and weight within so this needs to be included in the design. It needs to be easily seen by the consumer. Please include batch number:_______, coffee:__________ origin:_________, weight : in ounces and grams, roast level: light------------------------dark. (These values will be handwritten on the bags at the point of bagging.) The back of the bag should also be designed to tell our story as a company, or diagram the process of selecting beans, roasting, retail, and donation of $1/ pound sold for water projects around the world. Our tagline reflects that progression: BEANS-ROASTED-WELL.
What to avoid
We in no way want the overall look to be fancy. No scripty fonts -very gender neutral.
The design on the bag has limitations are 5" wide x 6" tall. The pouches are from North Atlantic Specialty Bag item #530 (6" x 9") and #550 (7.5" x 10.5"). The same design will be hot stamped to both bags.
