Description of the product target audience
We’re targeting a wide age range of women between 21-55. Our target’s name is Melissa and she loves reading fashion lifestyle blogs. Not so she can follow trends though. She loves looking for inspiration and finding unique pieces that she can wear in funky ways. She’s the kind of woman people go-to for fashion advice because she always looks confident in anything she wears. Melissa takes pride in her purchase choices and believes they tell a story about who she is. She's a lover of good design and won't buy anything that doesn't have a point of view. She loves shopping online and spending time on Pinterest and Instagram. She’s super into her morning rituals. She works out every morning, either a yoga class or a run around her neighborhood. She loves coffee and tea before getting dressed for work and reads her horoscope to help start her day. She’s obsessed with self-improvement and thinks reading her horoscope helps her stay focused on what’s important each day. It’s also just fun for her to think that the stars have influenced her personality. She loves to travel and her friends envy her Instagram feed when she does. She always avoids the tourist traps and instead finds hidden spots most people have never heard of. Experiencing new things is more important to her than taking a staged pic for the gram. She always brings something back home to remember her travels and displays them around her well-designed city apartment. She also loves buying her friends out-of-the-box souvenirs that tell unique stories about wherever she’s visited.
A Tea tin that draws on vintage Indian Tea tins, to represent India and Astrology to a modern online consumer in the USA today. The front of the label should focus on the icon of each horoscope sign. The icon should look strong, purposeful, and fit in the same spot for each sign. It should be super clear which horoscope tin can is yours even if all 12 were lined up next to each other based solely on the icon. “Priya’s Teas” above the icon and have a templated space to fill in which horoscope “flavor” it is somewhere in the front design. One of the sides of the tin should have a template to fill in each signs’ horoscope and how the tea ingredients help to tell their story. We want a female character represented somewhere on the can. This area may be a good spot for it. The back of the tin will need to include product information that is essential for labeling tea like nutrition facts, ingredients, and the amount of product, approximately 1.6 oz. (this can be as small as 1/16 of an inch in height). Melissa should feel good about displaying this tin on her kitchen counter.
What to avoid
Fonts that try too hard to look ethnic or astrological. Designs that look kitschy.

Incredible designer, communicates effectively about timeline and understands what you need better than you do. Would recommend her above anyone else I've worked with, invaluable partner when you are putting yourself out there, taking a risk on starting a business, or revamping an already-made product.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
