Frannieightynine got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
Obscure, abstract design needed for awesome T-shirt!
Check out Frannieightynine's T-shirt contest…
I'd love a really obscure, abstract design - a combination of these styles: - Watercolour - Pen and ink style drawings - Grungy textures A mix of muted colours and bold, vibrant colours is welcome! Design is to be a grungy, alternative style. Main focus are the words 'nineteen eighty nine', perhaps each word under the other? I like grungy or fairground style fonts. Try this site for ideas: http://artatm.com/2010/02/90-amazin Or it could even be written in a rough, sketched style. The following items all need to be sketched and integrated into the design - like a collage: - a human heart - a cigarette packet - clouds with rain, rain can be psychedelic colours - a pocket watch - holly leaves - a cup of tea - a game controller - a guitar or microphone - a camera Although I've mentioned 'collage', I would like these things to be sketched-style, if possible. Like doodles. They don't have to be super detailed. Creative freedom is key here - feel free to play with colours and textures and be as obscure as you like! Please look at the attached images for ideas on style that I like :)
A large main design on the front of the shirt in the centre, taking up most of the front of the shirt. A small embellishment on the back or sleeve which follows the style and theme of the main design. The finished file needs to be provided in a vectorised format in CMYK colours for the printing process. Thanks!
What to avoid
No copy and pasted images, please. Don't be conventional and don't worry about the design looking really clean cut :)
