Ktaggart got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Action Sports needs a new website design
Check out Ktaggart's Web page design contest…
Action Sports is a whole seller providing sports products to retails across Australia, we have an existing website but the general public cannot buy the products on the website, the website is there to generate interest, provide information, etc so that the individual can visit one of their nearest retailers and buy a product.
Background image - we do not like the current background image Website header - we do not currently like the header, some ideas: - Change the background image from blue/white dots to something better - change the text menu items to icons (currently we cannot fit the menu items we want to in the available space, thus why we think icons may be better). Top menu should contain: * home (can be logo) * replacement parts (important as lots of visitors go there) * FAQ *Stockists * Contact Us * Assembly Instructions (not essential but we would like to include in top menu) Left Hand navigation menu - we want to keep the same listed options but make the menu look better if possible Main feature image/slider - we had some concepts created that the management did not like. So one was created in-house and that is the first image you see when you visit http://creativeplaythings.com.au/actionsports.com.au/ and close the competition pop up. Are the colours in the slider image any good, can we expand upon them or is there some colours that just do not work and we should change ?? (i.e. does the red work?) Products - we did not want to look like an ecommerce store but we do have consumers visit this website to review sports products, so we need to include the best ones on the homepage. But we do need to improve the look of the products and maybe that means we need to take new/better images for the website - fine but first we want to see some concepts that prove to us it is worth the effort. For example changing from portrait to landscape, the title for each product is too thick (we can change the copy in the title), the border, etc.
We want to improve the design of the: - Homepage - product category page We have recently upgraded our core technology (Joomla & Virtuemart) and started to spruce up the web template design. We now need to get input from a creative resource to improve the homepage design, the latest version of the homepage can be found at http://creativeplaythings.com.au/actionsports.com.au/ We are also keen to improve the design of the product category page http://creativeplaythings.com.au/actionsports.com.au/swing-sets.html http://creativeplaythings.com.au/actionsports.com.au/trampolines.html
