jadamcyk got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Create a glorious website for a "budding" subscription box service for Cannabis-Infused Snacks!
Check out jadamcyk's Web page design contest…
Food & Drink
Our product is called the "Edible Box", a monthly box full of industry leading cannabis-infused snacks. We are targeting all MMJ patients, but specifically those that may not be able to inhale smoke for health reasons or by preference. We also cater to individuals that have "more money than time", and would enjoy a premium service that allows them to avoid having to travel to storefront dispensaries.

The Shades of Green mint green color is #71C7AE and the charcoal gray is #414141. These colors can be used but only sparingly please. We much prefer the colors of the page to be taken up with real photos as you see in the "" example below, but are open to complimentary neutral "earthy" colors and textures. We've provided a google drive link containing images. There are images there which would work fine for the hero image but if you feel you want to photoshop the box into a different scene or angle for the hero image that is fine. We have also included stock photos of the products which can be used sparingly throughout the website.
Page 1 - Homepage: Navigation: How it Works, About Us, Get Your Box (should be colored and emphasized) Section 1: Header - Shades of Green logo top left - Hero image with copy down left side and a button that says "Get Your Box" - Navigation buttons at the top - Small "My Account" link above navigation on top right - Box image placement on the right - Headline overlaying hero image that says "Simple, discreet and made with love" - Sub-headline: "Cannabis-infused snacks, shipped monthly" - Action button: We like how www.prospurly.com has their button laid out. Add the "Spaces Limited" in italics with "Get Your Box" button Section 2: What's comes in the box? We like the attached mockup from Ketokrate for this section. We'd like to have the box top view surrounded by products (or a slider with 3 pages of 6 products each). See the following link for some example images (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B68ddu9UrwLvME1xNXhrM3lmWE0&usp=sharing) this will get updated later with more high res photos. Content: We believe in a better mediating experience, that's why we created Shades of Green. We are a collective with a focus on providing its members with a variety of the industry's most notable small-batch cannabis-products. Once a month, you’ll receive the Edible Box packed full of artisan-crafted edibles from the industry’s best and most acclaimed brands. Each package includes 5-7 hand-selected medicated snacks designed for maximum relief. Section 3: Featured Brands We'd like to have a short section with just one row of our featured brands (logos attached) Section 4: How it works We like how www.prospurly.com displays their how it works section. We will have stock imagery to add later but for now you can experiment with your own images. 1. We find the most notable cannabis-infused snacks in the industry 2. Load them into a box along with helpful dosing instructions and product information 3. Then send it to your home. Your Edible Box will arrive near the 1st of the month. You'll receive a fresh new box full of love every month. Section 5: Our Simple Rules - We'd like to add a section similar to the 3 simple rules section on the mockup from KetoKrate. Ours would be: 1) Potency 2) ingredients 3) Packaging 4) Wow factor Section 6: Edibles and Subscription Information - We'd like a section that allows us to place brief facts on why edibles are one of the fasted growing segments in the industry. (smoking versus edibles, potency comparison, variability on products, etc...) This section doesn't have to have the standard horizontal style. it could be a slider, or an open layout. Section 7: Testimonials (add 3 placeholders for testimonials for now) Section 8: Social media We like the example from www.yogisurprise.com on the bottom of their home page. Something similar with "Made with love (green heart) in Los Angeles, CA". Facebook, Twitter, Instagram Section 9: Footer Add your own design to this section. We need a mailing list form, About Us, Contact Us and FAQ Page 2 - Product Overview/Sign up Look at the example from Treatsie when you click "Get your box". We want this page to have more detail on the product and overall sign up process. We'll need the top to have the following order: 1) Select a plan (your designed page) 2) Submit application (we will build this page and form out ourselves) 3) Checkout (will have woo-commerce checkout) The step 1 "Select a Plan" page should have a spread of our pricing, image of our box and area for content.
What to avoid
- No drop down menus - Try to keep the color choice consistent across each page. you can use other colors as you like but try to keep the main color scheme apparent so it matches the box.
This is our first website design, so we are very interested in seeing some fresh, innovative ways to display our brand. Shades of Green was created to be a high-end boutique brand but with a simple, minimal feel. We would like the website to have a fun, laid-back, organic look that goes along with the "Cali" lifestyle, however also conveys our message of being a serious medical provider for patients. If you have any specific questions or stock image requests, please don't hesitate to ask!
