Food & Drink
We're a fun and goofy multiple restaurant food delivery website. Customers enter their address and our database returns results of nearby restaurants (restaurants within users delivery radius). Customers can select from a list of restaurants, view menus and place their delivery order online.
Our logo is cute/funny and so should the ordering experience. We like elegant designs too, but it has to somehow fit/correlate with your logo. As mentioned above, we need to change color scheme to more food/succulent/appetizing theme.
Homepage: We need improvements to our homepage so that UI is more intuitive. Below are some of the improvements that we have identified. 1. Clearly outline how the ordering process works. Users need to be told how our website works. Its a 4 step process. 1. Enter your address, 2. Choose a Restaurant, 3. Select your dishes, 4. Place Your Order. The link below has a good example of this process description. http://twindots.co.uk/mockups/rs/# 2. Search bar: currently our search bar is a thin rectangle across the top. Instead of that, maybe the search bar should be inside the shape of a plate (see seamless.com ipad app for the plate concept). Also please note that we're removing the "what do you feel like" search box from the basic search function. All users should be prompted to do is to enter their address/zip code. Also the search button should be replaced with "find restaurants". 3. Color Scheme: Currently foodoozle.coms background color is blue. We don't feel that blue is a very appetizing color. Psychologically blue is associated with calmness & tranquility. Thats why hospitals use the color blue often. We need a background color/scheme that makes people think about food, about delicious food, succulent, inviting, tasty, hungry. Blacks, reds & yellows are some colors that we have in mind, but you have creative freedom here. 4. Sliders: Currently our site messaging is done through sliders. Its up to you whether or not we keep sliders to convey messaging. But remember that we are a restaurant "food delivery website". The overall theme should have more food picture(s, etc). Our most important keywords are food delivery, order food online, find restaurants, etc. We should have some pictures that visually support these keywords... Additionally, some key points about our marketing message is that we provide customers with, 1. more restaurant delivery choices, 2. fast deliveries, 3. Convenience, 4. Affordable. 5. Increase social links visibility/accessibility: Like us on Facebook, Google +, etc. is on the footer. Maybe try and bring that up on the site to bring more attention to them. 6. Footer should also include sitemap. We're attaching some pictures/examples that should help convey our thoughts on the above criteria. Have fun with this project! :)
