BACKGROUND / PERSONALITY & TONE The Italian Collection is a D O C G (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita translated as controlled designation of origin guaranteed) of fashion and as such we guarantee that every single product online is 100 percent made in Italy. We are "sensitive" to the beauty of Italy, and to its fabled style and lifestyle. TIC is a voice for the Italian lifestyle! Our platform is more than about selling unique wares; we are selling craftsmanship, and a piece of history that embodies the reputation of Italy. Certainly TIC offers exquisite, artistic and unique wares, but above all else TIC speaks to elegance, to an innate elegance as personified by the iconic duo Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly whose beauty continues to resonate today! We know for a fact that high quality products Made in Italy are synonymous with elegance, they are highly sought after and they speak to Italian style and culture. An individual who wears an item Made in Italy immediately feels elegant, uniquely so, and even likes to believe that he or she is emulating an Italian perhaps promenading along the via Montenapoleone or any other via! Similarly for Italians when they buy jeans made in the USA, say the legendary Levi's, they may suddenly take on a certain swagger and feel all American! Without belaboring the point, connecting "viscerally" with the item of clothing is at the core of our reason for being. This part of the message must be front and center and conveyed very clearly. OVERALL DIRECTION: The fashion/product needs to be the star while the lifestyle messaging needs to come through with ease of navigation. The lifestyle messaging can be relayed via home, collection / category pages and/or integrated into the whole as long as the product remains the focal point. Please describe how this would be accomplished as well as provide comps for the following 2 pages. 1. HOME PAGE TIC would like to combine the horizontal presentation of the Italian lifestyle and the passion of the Italian artisan while allowing the focal point to rest on the product in a clean & compelling fashion. 2. PRODUCT DETAIL PAGE The product detail sections could be accomplished with tabs / buttons similar to lapaloosa.com or valentino.com. Taking 'Shoulder Bag' as an example product, the with content would include: o Shoulder Bag Item (description, image & rollover feature, price, link to designer, social buttons, add to shopping bag, add to wishlist) Our View Designer Collection FEATURE REQUIREMENT Product Magnification: If people are to fully appreciate the fine quality and craftsmanship of our products they must be able to see them "up close" and in so doing enhancing their virtual shopping experience such that they will be more compelled to buy! As a case in point please refer to the website www.lapaloosa.co.uk that offers this feature to great effect.
