clickspace needed a new web page design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 34 designs submitted by 14 freelance designers.
We own and operate a network of price comparison sites. We are looking for a new design template for a forthcoming project. This is a high profile job and will certianly lead to more opportunities for the winner. We know there's a lot of effort in designing the three page templates we need but your efforts will be rewarded. What we are doing is providing links to other price comparison sites and specifying what we need to see on each of three different page types. It will be a great addition to any portfolio and we promise plenty of feedback. Many thanks for reading.

The brief is to create a template and design style and to show how this will work on three different page types. You’ve probably all used a price comparison site at one time or another so here are a few that we generally like from a design perspective.  Note: these are links to what we call “product landing pages†as there are the most important page from a customer perspective.  Â

http://electronics.pricegrabber.com…501/search
You will notice that all of the above have similar content albeit presented in a slightly different way. You can use any of them as a guide to what should be included on the product landing page.  We also need a style for what we call the search results†page. This is a category level page. Using the sites above as an example, here are some pages of that type; Â

The 3rd page is the home page. There is more flexibility here as the home page can be organized to promote certain featured products or categories. Here are price comparison home page examples;Â

We are open to ideas for the home page content. Â There are a number of other sites that we like from a desing perspective and these may help to influence your design to enter and the overall effect that we want to achive. Â

In general, it needs to be clean, adaptable, and use graduations and “web 2.0 elementsâ€. The name for the project is "whichshop.net". You may include a logo as part of your entry if you wish. Preference given to entries with a good logo - but it's not essential.
