kristiinam got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Renegade Tea Estate needs a cool website to save the abandoned tea plantations.

Food & Drink
We are a unique tea farm in Europe - thriving to save the abandoned tea plantations of Georgia and to start selling pure, organic full leaf tea to direct customers. We plan to have a tea farm with the most personal service on the market, our products will be sold in the online shop.
The website should be rather clean and minimalist, the base colors should be white-black or white-gray + pictures. The aim of the website is to firstly sell the story and then the tea, it is not a typical e-shop for tea.
I would like to have a design for the front page and an example landing page (Georgian tea). I have made a simple sketch of what I would like to see on the page, this can be accessed here: kristiinamehik.wixsite.com/newpage .Though this should not limit you, if you have some other idea how to present our content. The front page should focus on the team and our story mainly, since our main communication points are our own story and the story of the abandoned tea industry. We do not want to be another online shop for hundreds of variations of tea, so the homepage should also be different and clearly communicate the story first. It should include also a menu integrated into the page, not as a traditional menu bar at the top of the page, but it should be as small banners/buttons in the beginning of the page, after the first picture/info. There should be also a banner area to show different offers (for example - when the next batch of production is ready , some new flavors are ready etc.), introduction of our plantations and a blog feed. The footer should include the menu and contact. Landing pages: the landing pages should include a visual part, for example a picture in the beginning of the page + text.
What to avoid
Please avoid visuals of usual tea companies, no tea pots, tea leaves as design elements please.
Please read the story at www.renegadetea.com to get a better understanding of what we do, this should also give some inspiration for the page :) The colors we use for the brand are: main colors: black, white additional colors: gray PANTONE P 169-4 C red PANTONE 18-1438 Marsala green PANTONE Green Hornet The red and green we use on the package to indicate green and red tea, I would rather not use these on the homepage, but if the idea is good and looks visually good, then I am also not against it. Please us Lato as the font. You can find image to use from facebook.com/rngdteaestate . Otherwise free stock images could be used.
